A VR experience to teleport

Spotify invited us to create an interactive and immersive experience at Campus Party 2016 using virtual reality.

Where will the next track lead you?

At the stand, visitors were teleported to anywhere on the globe, with the perfect soundtrack for each place. The interaction began when the user put their glasses on and, through a physical globe designed and developed by us, could select a specific point on the map. They were then virtually carried to this place with incredible landscape where they could explore in 360 degrees.

A musical journey through virtual reality

Once the user had the VR glasses on, the sphere that they interacted with physically became an interactive terrestrial globe in the virtual reality experience. We used Unity to build the entire 3D environment and load Google Street View panoramas from each location.

Experience beyond the virtual environment

The whole experience took place in a stand designed and built by us that involved the users and was integrated to Campus Party’s experience.

Local immersion with digital impact

Also, to expand the brand awareness, we generated a photo of the user during the experience. If they shared the experience on Twitter using the right hashtags, they could have their photo printed. More than a thousand people were at the stand and almost 70% of users converted the experience into a post on their social networks.
